Edith Stein Conference
In the framework of the International Conference on the occasion of finishing the Edith Stein Complete Edition (ESGA) at the University of Cologne, a theme night will be held at Kolumba on Thursday, 20 November at 7 p.m. The evening event will have the motto "Translation". The conference will take place 20 to 23 November at the University of Cologne. On the morning of 20 November it will open with the Edith-Stein Colloquium, a tradition in the meantime, which affords doctoral candidates and young academics an opportunity to introduce their research projects and put them up for discussion. At 3 p.m. the same day, the main conference program will commence with a multitude of contributions by international Edith Stein researchers as well as publishers and translators of her work. The conference will end on 23 November with a ceremonial Pontifical Mass at 9 a.m. at the Carmelite church Maria vom Frieden in Cologne. Detailed information may be obtained from the program booklet Programmheft. Both the colloquium and the conference itself are open to the public. Interested persons are most welcome to attend.
